Create Your Own Holly Berry Cloth and Puff with This Free Crochet Pattern

Why use the Holly Berry Cloth Free Crochet Pattern?
Bring the festive season to your kitchen or bathroom by crocheting a holly leaf washcloth and matching holly berry puff or scrubbie. It’s also a perfect stocking stuffer if you like making crochet gifts.
If you prefer using a downloadable or printable pattern rather than working from patterns on websites, this pattern is also available to purchase as a printable pdf on Ravelry with 25% launch discount during November 2026.
The Holly Berry Cloth Free Crochet Pattern set is soft, flexible and practical, with a neat edging to define its pointed shape without making it stiff. The coordinating berry puff is a fun element and makes this a particularly satisfying little set to crochet.

The pattern combines a variety of easy stitches, giving you enough interest to keep you engaged without making the project overly complicated. It’s also a wonderfully portable make, small enough to pop into your bag and work on wherever you happen to be.
Enjoy making your cloth!

Video Tutorial
Finishing
Weave in ends, using yarn tails of Berry Puff to cinch centres. Block to measurements provided.
Make it your own
Puff size: for a bigger puff, add an extra round after R5 working [4 dc, 2 dc in next st] around to increase to 36 sts, optionally add an 2 extra reps of R5 and then work [4 dc, dc2tog] around to have 30 sts again before continuing with R11. For a smaller puff, omit R6, R11 and optionally R9-R10.
Create a hanging loop for your cloth when working Edging instead of 3 ch in one of the end points of the cloth work 10-15 ch and slst back in the 2nd ch you made, then work 1 ch before resuming the pattern at the end of the puff.
Yarn choice: any kind of plant fibre or washcloth yarn could be used. Using a different yarn weight with a hook that matches the manufacturer’s recommendations will result in a smaller or larger cloth
Remember that you’ll need to allow extra yarn for some changes.
