A lovely lace scarf with lots of texture, this is a delicate, yet dramatic accessory that will add elegance to a simple, classic outfit, protect your shoulders in a sundress or provide the perfect finishing touch to evening or bridalwear.

The lace and cable stitch pattern produces a drapey fabric while the cotton and linen yarn creates crisp stitches. The border provides interest with a picot finish that adds weight, avoiding the scarf flipping in the breeze.

The pattern’s varied stitches are designed to maintain the maker’s motivation and interest throughout and the open texture is pleasant to handle and ensures the piece works up quickly.

Sizes: one size, length is easy to adjust

Tension: 21 sts x 32 rows = 10cm x 10cm/4” x 4” measured over main patt rep using 3.75 mm needle, after blocking.

Working method: Knitted flat (cast on along short end). Optional ribbon trim is woven through. Pieces are seamed to create picot edging.

Optional trim: 3m /3yd 2mm/1/8” ribbon or thick contrast yarn
