Are you joining Ravelry's Indie Giftalong this year? It's a fantastic event for those knitting or crocheting gifts for the festive season; looking to a craft community; or just looking for some bargain patterns by independent designers. I'll be a participating designer this year, so my twenty of my indepndently patterns are included in those eligible for the coupon code and all of my patterns are eligible to be worked on in the CALs/KALs.
Not using Ravelry or interested in one of my patterns that's not discounted? I'll also be participating in the Fasten off Yarn Along event this year, so take a look at my post here too.
The Indie Design Giftalong is a KAL/CAL event, taking place in a group on Ravelry, for those making seasonal gifts from patterns designed by over 250 independent designers. It lasts around six weeks and from 21st November US ET to the end of 31st December and includes fun games, contests, and 8 KAL/CALs to help you get your seasonal makes ready in a fun atmosphere. You can find out more iabout the event on Ravelry in this group .
First buy your Giftalong patterns from participating designers' bundles of up to 20 patterns during the sale that takes place during the first week. Don't forget to use the coupon code giftalong2023 for 25% off each one you buy! Here's my bundle and here's the bundle for all the designers. You'll probabaly want to use the filters to find just the right patterns for you from the thousands available.
Then join any relevant KAL/CALs for each of the type of items you are making by posting in each KAL/CAL thread to let the team know the pattern name you will be making. Those who do are eligible to win one of many lovely prizes (if making a paid pattern by any of the participating designers). You can work from any patterns by the participating designers too, if you like, but projects from free patterns won't be eligible for prizes.
There are fun games, and a great chatty atmosphere, so don't hesitate; come join us! Do say hello if you see me online in one of the events. I'll be joining in too as I relax making a few projects from other people's patterns for once and sharing in my newsletter, the Ravelry Indie GAL group and on Instagram.
